You place the tome on the dais. The runes once again glow with the same shadowy light, and the runes on the pages coalesce into a language you
can read.

The Glowing One

Dark Gaia, She Who Casts the Shadow, is our creator. The one who casts the shadow that we use to take form, who gave the laws unto the creations of
her children. However, there cannot be shadow without light. There exists brightness and in that light, there is an antithesis to our Dark Gaia. The
Glowing One, He Who Shines Bright, is what causes the bane of our world. He Who Shines Bright is the reason that Dark Gaia can cast the shadow on this
world. He is formless, he has no shape we can discern, for his form is that of bright blinding light.

Through his light, he can force boundries on our world. The light burns at our forms and threatens to unravel it completely. His movements can spell disaster for our
kind, but luckily, his movements are well known. He only ever wanders the expanse in a specific pattern. This results in areas of shadow that are fleeting
and only safe for shades for so long. Those caught in his light have precious little time left. Though our weave makes us resistant to disappearing into the light,
the intensity of that which he casts very quickly can dissolve our form.

Were that all He Who Shines Bright could do, there would be little to worry about. But he has his own children and his own creations. Wisps have been reported
as creatures of light that can roam the shadow lands and destroy our precious woven forms. Beyond that, there are beings of light, counter parts to our shade forms
that can harrass our forms in the shade. For even though they are formed in the same way we shades are, their bindings do not fear from the shadows. They can walk
amongst our lands without fear, and though so far they do not venture near the kingdoms, they have been sighted in the outerlands and very frequently represent
ill portents.
